This past Sunday I truly needed to unwind. We went to the local strawberry fields and when the kiddos and myself got home, we were filthy and exhausted.
It was a spring-time like 90 degrees (I am being sarcastic…I am not ready for summer…) and had something cookn’ in the crock pot. What better time to indulge a bit and have some “me time” with a delicious bottle of [yellow tail} Sangria?!
It’s a yummy fruity summertime blend of red wine and citrus (48% Pinot Grigio, 47% Merlot, 2% Chardonnay, and 3% other varietals) that can be served at room temperature or over ice. It was a hot day picking those strawberries, so I chose over ice! It was full of flavor, fruity and oh so refreshing and delicious! You can even combine it with [yellow tail] Bubbles for a beautiful bubbly Sangria Sparkler! The Sangria contains 11.5% alcohol and from Southern Eastern Australia.
Along with the food in the crock pot, I decided to make something fresh to go along with my Sangria by [yellow tail]. I made a summery Fruit and Lettuce Salad. Perfect addition, easy to make and perfectly paired with my Sangria! Check it out below:
- 1 head of chopped Romaine lettuce (I love butter lettuce too!)
- 1 head of chopped Ice burg lettuce
- 1 cup of blueberries
- 1 pint of sliced strawberries
- 16 oz. of pineapple chunks
- 16 oz. mandarin oranges, drained
- 3/4 cup chopped toasted pecans
- 16 oz. poppy seed dressing
- Combine all ingredients and enjoy with your favorite glass of [yellow tail] wine!
As a blogger I receive products, promotional items and educational materials to use and share as I see fit. However, any opinions expressed by me are honest and reflect my actual experience. Thank you to [yellow tail] wine for the Sangria bottle and the wonderful bag, nail polish and candle!
