Mirasou Wine, Easter & Pairings {Sponsored Post}

For the first time in a couple years I am not hosting Easter! Phew. Instead I am hosting a bridal shower for my sister at a local wine bar the day before. Fun is sure to be had (blog post about the big day coming soon!). What occurred to me while planning this bridal shower though is why not combine the wine bar experience with a wine tasting during the Easter festivities?! Kids get to egg hunt, where is the fun for the adults?

Enter Mirassou Wines— Delicious, pairs well with an array of different foods, and sure to be a crowd favorite (at least among adults).

I was given the chance to review three different wines from Mirassou Winery; Sunset Red,  Moscato, and Pinot Noir.

Each were very different, but delicious in their own way.

The Sunset Red is a Pinot Noir based red blend with dark fruit flavor of black cherry and notes of brown sugar. It has been hot and summery here in SoCal, and this wine was refreshing and a delightful addition to my grilled fish dinner. For Easter it would pair nicely with a nice juicy baked ham or perhaps even a nice roasted duck.

The next wine, Pinot Noir combined flavors of strawberries, cherries and red currants. Loved this wine. A bit heavier than the Summer Red, but great still. For Easter, I would pair it with a delicious roasted vegetable lasagna.

Last but certainly not least, was the  Moscato. Ohhh holy sweetness. Flavors of peach, tangerine, melon and honeysuckle. Very springtime-like if you ask me, and definitely paired well with something light to round out the flavors. Perhaps a nice light grilled fish or even a dessert?

Do you still need a dessert for Sunday? This Cherry Bread Pudding sounds amazing! Need other ideas? “Like” Mirassou on Facebook and check out their other fun ideas and recipes!
