Waterworks Aquatics Swim School – Swim Lessons in San Diego
California is a water loving state! Between the ocean, rivers, lakes and pools, kids here start swimming sometimes before they can even walk or talk. But just because kids are around water doesn’t mean they necessarily know the correct ways and moves for proper swimming.
My daughter has been in and out of pools her whole life, but mainly in the summertime. During the winter months, we just don’t venture into the pool, so her skills are lost a bit over the course of those months. When she is swimming, she is like a fish and loves it!
We decided to give Waterworks Aquatics in San Diego a try to help her regain her confidence in the water, learn the proper skills and how to be safe in and near the water. Our first lesson with Nick, our Waterworks instructor, was yesterday morning at the LA Fitness in Sorrento Valley. The Waterworks program uses the 25 yard, 84 degree LA Fitness pool year round. The Sorrento Valley location is the perfect spot for so many communities including Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch, UTC, La Jolla and more!
This will be the first post in a series of posts about our experience with Waterworks, but so far, I have to say that the first lesson was fabulous! Nick made her feel comfortable, eased her into what she will be learning, and made the lesson fun and enjoyable for her.
Here is a quick look at our first lesson:
