The holidays are here folks! Time for the baking, the shopping and the ….. cleaning to begin. Lucky for us we have Scotch-Brite™ Brand to save us from toilet bowl scrubbing! The new Scotch-Brite® Disposable Toilet Scrubber saves so much time, energy, and honestly, my forearms are thankful.

The Scotch-Brite® Disposable Toilet Scrubber takes the genuine Genuine Scotch-Brite® brand scrubbing power, and combines it with a built-in bleach alternative with pumice which scrubs away rust and hard water stains. We have well water here at Golden State Mom, and let me tell you, that water is a beast to clean, but the Scotch-Brite® Disposable Toilet Scrubber cut through the grime, the stain and left a beautiful bowl behind– it scrubs the messes you’ve been leaving behind!

I found my Scotch-Brite® Disposable Toilet Scrubber at Ralphs. Easy to find right there in the cleaning aisle. Plus there is a special deal happening right now– Buy one Scotch-Brite® Disposable Toilet Scrubber, get one FREE (Kroger and Kroger banners starting 12/4 -In-store offer only)! Can’t beat that deal! If you buy the starter kit and the refills like I did, you will end up with handle, a caddy, and 15 disposable toilet scrubbers! Let’s say you clean your toilet once a week, that will get you through until Valentine’s Day! What a gift! [sarcasm]

Okay so we now know that the Scotch-Brite® Disposable Toilet Scrubber is awesome, but what do you do when it’s Christmas Eve and Great Grandpa Stan heads to the bathroom after eating the bean dip? I know, it’s a scary thought. But poo happens… so my little diy tutorial is a magical poo spray that helps lighten the scent before it happens.

DIY Poo Spray

Feel free to use essential oils in your favorite combination. I love a nice holiday scent around Christmas like Eucalyptus or Spruce and Peppermint, but it’s totally up to you and your preference! You can also use a home fragrance oil as well. You know those oils you put in oil warmers– they work great too!

First things first–Find a clean spray bottle.
Combine about 25 drops of your favorite oil or combination of oils (or your favorite home fragrance oil)
Add in about 3 or 4 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol. Vodka can work if you have it on hand and want to waste it on poo…
Shake, shake it up.
Next, add enough water to fill to the top.

Don’t be afraid to experiment a bit with the number of drops, or the combination. Your guests will thank you, I promise!
