One thing I love to do is wake up a wee bit early on Christmas and throw a breakfast together that wakes up the rest of my family with an aroma of sweet orange and tart cranberries that is sweet and delicious. The key is to take advantage of pre-done French bread dough and the slow cooker! Why wake up earlier than you have to wasting time in the kitchen proofing dough, when you could be enjoying precious family time with loved ones?! So many times, moms and dads are stuck in the kitchen cooking or cleaning up when all the memories are happening. Get out of the kitchen and be a part of the memory making!

Slow Cooker Cranberry Orange Cinnamon Rolls
- 2 pre-done French bread dough (in refrigerator section)
- 3/4 cup of dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup of softened butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- Orange zest from 2 oranges
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 T cinnamon
- 4 T softened butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 T milk
- 1.5 T orange zest
- 2 T orange juice
Using parchment paper, cut a large piece and lay it in the slow cooker crock.
On a lightly floured surface, spread out both of the French bread doughs. Pinch them together to make one larger flat dough piece. Approximately 10×16 inches. Spread the softened butter over the dough, followed by the brown sugar, cinnamon and cranberries.
In a small bowl combine the granulated sugar and the orange zest. Spread half of the orange sugar onto the dough. Reserve the rest of the orange sugar.
Starting on the right hand side, start to slowly roll up the dough, tucking and rolling.
Cut the dough into 1.5 inch slices. Before placing into the parchment lined crock, dip the cut side of the cinnamon roll into the reserved orange sugar. Place into slow cooker base.
Cook on high 2 to 2.5 hours, or low for 4 to 4.5 hours.
When cooked, lift the parchment paper from the crock onto a platter. Let cool slightly, then frost those bad boys!
To make the icing– in a medium bowl, combine butter, powdered sugar, milk orange zest, and orange juice. Whisk until smooth! Slather onto rolls liberally!
